Spring Island - Estate

The design for the Spring Island Estate created a natural courtyard and property that allows the estate to blend into the surrounding forest. EP/A designed tabby ruins to give the appearance of an aged property, as well as to connect the property to the ancient tabby ruins found on Spring Island. The design creates a series of loose courtyards between the buildings on the property, while allowing nature to infiltrate up to the home. The sinuous driveway and curving pathways around the house allow views into the woods and throughout the gardens. The plantation mix paths, wood edging, tabby concrete, and copper trellis offer many beautiful details while blending into the landscape. Birdhouses and feeders are placed around the property to encourage local wildlife to visit the site. The property has its own unique identity, but was also skillfully blended into the surrounding forest that the owners enjoy so much.
